WHO ARE WE?

Share The Stoke Foundation South Africa (STSFSA) believes in the transformative power of surfing. Founded in 2012, we are a registered non-profit and public benefit organisation (PBO No. 93005329 / TRN 3575628163) with Section 18A status, making all donations tax-deductible in South Africa.

We give children from underserved and at-risk communities access to more than just the ocean—we give them access to purpose, confidence, and community. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to change lives one surfboard at a time.

Surfing teaches resilience, focus, discipline, leadership, and respect. It becomes a space for healing and transformation. In partnership with grassroots programs across South Africa, Africa, India, and Asia, we help turn the ocean into a safe haven for young people.

With over 700 surfboards gifted, we don’t just provide gear—we support education and mentorship through our Recycled Board Program and Skills Development Program. These initiatives empower kids to repair and maintain their own boards, building confidence and independence.

We are surfers helping surfers—building a global network of support through passion, community, and a shared love for the ocean. Every board we gift is a bridge to possibility.
